Grand Theatre, Film production, Fashion Show & Celebration Hat Collection. New interpretations of many classical Vintage hat styles of the 20th Century for 2020.
Hat inspirations. Here are some of my most impressive researched rare French vintage hat inspirations. These are the ones that have inspired me greatly and I wish to share them with everyone. Many images were found in the villages of South-western region of the Dordogne, France. , as individual drawings, artwork, or were in French Fashion Journals. These images are in a random date order.
Many more images have contributed to my inspiration to design and re-create the shapes, colours, and the different era’s of the 20th Century, some even earlier. I am able to sew and knit, have access to rare designs and textiles, so this was the obvious way to begin. Designing, knitting, lining and decorating the hats has taken me nearly 2 years of intense concentration by trial and error, as I am not a trained Milliner although, now I think I am qualified to be called an original hat creator! Only the very best made are allowed to be sold. Now here is: Lady Lavinia Hats website using many of these beautiful hat images as a historical reference.
